1. Technology changed history in the 50's and 60's because people were able to record important events in history. A few examples from that are when the monk monk burned himself in protest. Another is the assasination of John F. Kennedy. The assasination was caught on tape by a by spectator in the crowd who had a video recorder. It was able to show how JFK was hit and what happened after he was hit.

2. Martin luther king Jr. was a peaceful civil rights leader he did not want violence to come from it. Huey newton was a little more violent in his leadership role he encouraged members of the black panthers to exercise there right to bear arms. Malcom X was i violent leader too. He was upset about the way black people were treated and he joined the civil rights movement.

3. Tey had a competition over who had more missles, it was called the missle gap it was an arms race. The united states and the soviet union had a competition to see who could launch the first satilite and who could put a man on the moon first . The soviet union was the first to launch a satilite but the untied staes was first to put a man on the moon.
